My findings: the initial set-up of the clock was too complicated.I had to enlist the aid of my husband to figure it out.Like the fact that the clock is light-weight,slim,and easily transportable to any location by my mom.....Now if only we can get her accustomed to USING it to remind her of the day of the week!.

(More customer reviews)I just received this which I intend to use as a countdown clock for various reasons. It automatically set to the current time, but I had to go back and change the time zone to get it set to central (set as mountain for some reason). Because the buttons to set are in the back, it's not easy to set because some times it reset back to starting screen while I was trying to figure out which of the 6 buttons I was supposed to push next. Because the instructions are somewhat unclear, I then accidentally set the 'current' time to the date I wanted the countdown to start on. There's a little icon that I missed in the diagram that indicates what you are setting.
Once it was set, I love it. It's sitting by my computer now counting down to my big vacation. After that is over, I'll set it for my final retirement date. Hopefully I'll be able to find the instructions when that happens because it's not intuitive to set.
It also has a daily alarm but I have not tried that feature
It requires two batteries (included - CR2032)

If you only need two reminders, you can turn the other two off. You can set the reminder for whatever time works for your particular schedule. This clock also helps an elderly person maintain their independence a little longer.
You need to buy this talking alarm clock if you are having a stressful time with your aging parent bristling at your reminder phone calls. After all, it's no longer YOUR voice telling her it's time to take her meds. If you find yourself waiting for a call---that often doesn't come---from your loved one that she has indeed taken her medications, you need to get free of that hassle and buy this talking alarm clock. We couldn't be happier with how this little clock has solved so many problems.

His hands, arms, and legs are able to be posed. The clock is a digital display that is on his chest. The best part is that he is extra tall compared to the other Lego minifigure clocks (just like the actual minifigure is larger than other minifigures) and his hat is the snooze button. It even comes with batteries. I highly recommend this clock and also suggest purchasing the Buzz Lightyear clock as well.

Zelco Aquatime Rope Clock Review

It works fine as a clock, but the alarm setting is not very accurate. If I put the pointer between 7 and 8, it may go off at anytime between 6:30 & 8:30.

Casio Auto Calendar Digital Travel Alarm Clock Review

(More customer reviews)This clock works well as a battery operated alarm clock. However, Casio really could have thought through the "travel" part better. Although it's light enough, it's too large for a travel clock. And there's no cover for the controls, so my first set of batteries died when something in my bag pressed against the snooze/light button for the whole flight. If you're looking for a battery operated alarm for your nightstand, this is a decent clock. If you really want a travel alarm, look elsewhere (or at least pack the batteries separately).

To avoid hitting the snooze or reset button(s) and never waking up, I keep my alarm clock across the room from my bed. This way I wake up enough to get out of bed and walk across the room before I hit any buttons. As my eyes are getting older it has become increasingly more difficult to focus on the clock when I wake up in the middle of the night.
When I decided that a projection clock would solve my problem of focusing on the clock in the middle of the night, I started to look around for one and I was not pleased with what was out there. I did not need nature sounds, nor did I need a light to turn on as part of the alarm. I do not have an MP3 player to dock into my clock, and I do not need a complete weather report when I open my eyes (LOL, I will find that out soon enough when I shlep out of bed and let the dogs outside!). I do not need to know what time the alarm is set (I just like to be reassured that it is on), and I am perfectly capable of pressing a few buttons to set the time all by myslef.
This little guy projects the time and whether or not the alarm is on...the two things that I am most interested in when I open my eyes in the middle of the night. The projection can be moved 180 degrees and the further away you project the time, the larger it is. It has an adjustable backlight on the face so it is not too bright. It has an AM/FM radio with ten station presets, and when the alarm is set to chime instead of the radio, it starts gentle so as not to jar you awake. It does have two alarms, but instead of having a choice of alarm types (chime or radio) Alarm 1 uses the radio and Alarm 2 uses the chime. The chime is a little bit quieter than I am used to, but it woke me up just fine this morning.
So far (after one night) I love this clock, it's a great price, and I would defiantly recommend it!

So, I wanted an alarm clock that 1)Tells the time by talking to me, & 2)Is battery powered. This fits the bill nicely. I've had this one since the early 90's, & it's never failed me.
Oh, by the way: it does not use up the batteries fast. They last a good long time.

(More customer reviews)I bought this clock previously from Radio Shack under their brand name. All our frends were amazed at how clear that it sounds. We liked it so well that we wanted to give them as Christmas gifts, but Radio Shack no longer sales them, so I went looking on the net and found them here.
The sound is loud and clear and can be heard softly throughout the home. This clarity is very importent to my wife because she is handicaped, and with this talking clock she doesn't have to get up to see the time, she can hear it. I've tried others but the sound of their mechanical voice isn't very understandable.
