(More customer reviews)In the past 18 years I have had 2 of these Seiko clocks; this model for the past 12 or more. It is an excellent clock and I keep it bedside at home because it does not TICK (it is utterly quiet) but is deadly accurate (and won't fail you during a poweroutage!) The battery lasts about 8 years and is super easy to replace. It has some luminous dial markings but otherwise is not lit, and since we thrive on a perfectly dark room for sleeping, that is great, too.
I used to travel with it but these past years I have been using my pda on the road. That said, I will travel with this again...it is lightweight, very easy to pack, totally reliable, durable, and ensures that you won't miss a flight somewhere far from home, at least not from oversleeping or a failed wake-up call (oh, yeah, THOSE!).
Highly recommended. Glad they are still selling this clock, and it is pretty, too. Oh, and totally easy to set/use. .

Cartier Rounded Alarm Clock - Pink Lacquer Review

(More customer reviews)I received the Cartier Rounded Pink Lacquer clock from Trade Concepts, and I am wondering if it's an authentic Cartier clock because the color is "peach" not pink. I can see a slight pink color around the edges of the clock so I don't know if the the color has faded to peach or if it started this way. If it is authentic, perhaps it's defective. While it's still very pretty, I'm not happy with the color difference--I wanted pink not peach, and since it cost close to $1,000 I'm considering returning it.
5/27/10 Update: Clock was indeed authentic Cartier (verified by a local Cartier dealer). The dealer said the clock had faded--it was most likely in a window display and faded from the sun. Trade Concepts offered to exchange it (they checked their other stock item and it was Pink) but I decided to return the clock as it was smaller than I expected. The seller issued a refund in full, with their apologies. All dealings with this seller were good. I would buy from them again.

(More customer reviews)Here is the clock we all need! It's a basic, no thrills clock. Nothing more than a lever you switch to the left to change the time, turn the lever to the right to change the alarm time, and keep it in the middle so to not bump any buttons by accident and change something. Naturally there are hour and minute buttons to push in to change the hour/minute. Next is a Alarm on/off switch. And a Snooze button for 2 minute snoozes that doubles as a light for the time (blue background).
It takes two AAA batteries that last a LONG time! I'd say close to a year if not longer! Uses very little power, and mine is used once a day if not more!
Also this clock can take it's share of falls to the floor! Great for traveling, lightweight.

I can't believe no one else has reviewed it. I refuse to trust wake up services. When I have to leave for the airport at 4am, I want my own reliable alarm clock to wake me up.
My old digi-clock of twenty years just pooped out. I liked it cuz it was digital (no ticking sound), small (size of pack of cigarettes, EZ time set and inexpensive at $10+. The EZ time set is the most important feature for me. I hate those clocks that one has to run thru 23 hours to change the time back by one hour. This clock allows one to +/- just one hour (or minute). It is essential when cruising in the Carribee or Mex Riviera where the time zone changes almost nightly.
We don't wear wrist watches any more and it is nice to whack the clock in the middle of the night to see the time. Is it almost time to get up at 6am or can one roll over at midnight?

(More customer reviews)Don't lose the instruction book. You may need a magnifying glass to read the extremely small print, but you will need it to set up and use this clock. Once you do, it works fine, although it did take overnight to set the correct time zone. The clock is easy to read, but a couple of indicators, namely the am/pm indicator and the alarm symbol are also very small. I haven't taken any trips, so I don't know how it works while traveling.

(More customer reviews)We accidentally left our favorite TIMEX travel clock at a hotel some time ago. I have been searching for one like it, and I finally found one that comes close. The only difference is the alarm-set dial, which is now on the back of the clock...but we can deal with that. We both love the one-touch light feature that allows you to see the time in the middle of the night. The alarm-on/off switch is easy to use and has a red strip that lets you know that it's in the ON position.
My husband takes this when he travels but uses his even at home. I bought one for my travels, and an extra one as well.

(More customer reviews)I've had this alarm clock for about three years. As far as alarm clocks go, it's nothing special.
The pros: It works reliably and is easy to set. The large numbers and lit snooze button are easy for me to see without my glasses.
The cons: The audio is a poor, tinny quality. I've never been able to use the radio or nature sounds because they're just awful. Also, after about two years the red finish started to wear off of the plastic around the buttons I use most frequently.
In sum, it's a perfectly serviceable alarm clock, but not worth more than about $15-$20 in my opinion.

Reason for buying : Obviously, I want to get up on time. I usually get up when it is dark and wake up with the kid throughout the night often times needing to check what time it is.
Expectations: Had nothing but Braun alarm clocks all my life, needed this one to measure up.
Good: Keeps time accurate....that is about it.
Bad: no snooze, no luminous dials, no integrated light, alarm can easily be off by 10 minutes, you need a flashlight to see it at night (that defeats the purpose), battery compartment cover falls off easily, high price tag for little value.
Bottom line: 2 day usage, I am annoyed with the lacking features which can be expected at this price tag. Will return item to seller today.

Seiko Advanced Technology Travel Alarm Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case Review

(More customer reviews)This clock works very well as an alarm clock, but do not buy it if you think that whenever you travel to a new time zone, it will automatically adjust. The auto adjustment "wave" basically only works about 50% of the time. In other words, you arrive in Singapore, push the button, and guess what? It keeps it at the old time zone. So you put it near the window, push the button again, same. Etc. That would be bad enough, but every once in a while, it adjusts when you do not want it to! It has happened to me several times where I set the alarm, and in the middle of the night, it set the time back by one hour (it does beep when that happens but if you sleep through the beep or are in another room, you don't realize it) so I woke up one hour later! To work around this, I turn off the "radio control" when I know I am going to be in a time zone for a while and it has adjusted correctly. So, to sum up, you are NOT going to buy a reliable time-zone-switching clock when you get this. The other features mentioned (flashlight, snooze, etc.) are good but I would hold out for something more reliable. I am sure there are scientific explanations (building blocking the signal etc.) but I don't care about that, I just want it to work, as am I sure most business travelers would.

Fulcrum Global Radio Control Travel Alarm Review

(More customer reviews)The time on this clock is automatically refreshed daily. I have used the unit in Italy. The time continually alternates between European time and British time (one hour difference). Even if I manually set the time, the refresh feature cannot be disabled. I have experimented with different locations in the house, but I can't resolve the problem. I cannot trust this clock as an alarm clock (I did once, and while the clock was correct when I went to sleep, it had gotten out of kilter by morning). It's a great idea, but it doesn't work.
