Seiko Travel Alarm Clock Ultra Thin Gold-Tone Case Review

Seiko Travel Alarm Clock Ultra Thin Gold-Tone Case
Average Reviews:

In the past 18 years I have had 2 of these Seiko clocks; this model for the past 12 or more. It is an excellent clock and I keep it bedside at home because it does not TICK (it is utterly quiet) but is deadly accurate (and won't fail you during a poweroutage!) The battery lasts about 8 years and is super easy to replace. It has some luminous dial markings but otherwise is not lit, and since we thrive on a perfectly dark room for sleeping, that is great, too.
I used to travel with it but these past years I have been using my pda on the road. That said, I will travel with this again...it is lightweight, very easy to pack, totally reliable, durable, and ensures that you won't miss a flight somewhere far from home, at least not from oversleeping or a failed wake-up call (oh, yeah, THOSE!).
Highly recommended. Glad they are still selling this clock, and it is pretty, too. Oh, and totally easy to set/use. .

Global Atomic Travel Clock (World Radio Controlled) with EL Backlight, Alarm, Snooze Review

Global Atomic Travel Clock (World Radio Controlled) with EL Backlight, Alarm, Snooze

Don't lose the instruction book. You may need a magnifying glass to read the extremely small print, but you will need it to set up and use this clock. Once you do, it works fine, although it did take overnight to set the correct time zone. The clock is easy to read, but a couple of indicators, namely the am/pm indicator and the alarm symbol are also very small. I haven't taken any trips, so I don't know how it works while traveling.

I gave our home this clock for Christmas about 3 years ago - it is gorgeous and quiet. Now it has an even prettier place in our new home - a friend liked it so much that I just ordered one
for him for Christmas. So glad that Amazon is carrying this item again. They do make gorgeous gifts.

The decor works well on our mantle. However the clock, which is easy to read, is mounted just slightly crooked. Perhaps most people would not notice that it is about 2° off. I would call the one I got a factory second. However I can live with it at the price I paid. I am not returning it, but I would if it had been a more expensive item.

Seiko Desk and Table Alarm Clock Brown Alder Case Review

Seiko Desk and Table Alarm Clock Brown Alder Case

I really like this clock. It is attractive, and accurate. I especially like Roman Numberal clocks that have the "IIII" instead of "IV" for the "4" spot. And almost no one is aware of the "IIII" presence (a curious human-perception fact).

I love my new clock. It is very sleek and modern-looking. The numbers are large and easy to read. At night the clock is dark. If you want to check the time you just press the large snooze bar and the time display lights up.

Seiko QXE021GLH Bedside Alarm Clock Review

Seiko QXE021GLH Bedside Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Although this is the best alarm clock I've found, yet, the alarm is far from "ascending," as promised. Though the alarm bell isn't harsh, it is far from soft when it first goes off. I'd classify its "ascending" sequence as loud, then loud and fast, and then loud and fast and very annoying. The delay between sequences is also very, very short, so you're quickly to the final, most annoying alarm setting if you don't immediately jump up and turn it off, which seems counter to the whole idea behind the clock. The second hand, as well, is not silent, either. If you have it on a night stand right next to your bed, you can hear it, though it's much quieter and much less annoying than a typical alarm clock's tick-tick-tick.

The clock will not pick up atomic clock signals in Africa, the Middle East, Austrailia, most of Eastern Europe, some parts of Southeast Asia and most of Russia. There are only 4 transmitters (USA, UK, Germany and Japan).

Bulova Holgate Bedside Key Wind Bell Alarm Clock - Antique Bronze Finish Review

Bulova Holgate Bedside Key Wind Bell Alarm Clock - Antique Bronze Finish
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The previous reviewers were both right. The clock is very loud and the knobs are too close together. It's the ticking inside this clock that will drive you mad. First, I had it on the night stand. Then I had to move it to the opposite side of the room and could still hear it. Finally, I had to move it to outside the bedroom door. I felt like I was in a Poe novel and had done something horrible to deserve the incessant ticking in my ears.
It looks nice but it was poorly designed.

I love this clock! It is exactly what I wanted. Small, lightweight, black and easy to use. It is just a great alarm clock without any extras to weight it down or make it break down. I use it as a bed side-clock as well as a travel clock. I am so thankful that someone still makes a decent travel clock.

Seiko Advanced Technology Bedside Alarm Get Up and Glow Clock Review

Seiko Advanced Technology Bedside Alarm Get Up and Glow Clock
Average Reviews:

I needed a clock I could rely on--one that would not stop when the electricity went off, and one that had an alarm that was reliable. After missing two appointments, I needed rescue. My clock arrived quickly in good shape, I inserted the batteries, and it set itself. I tested the alarm and it is loud enough but not annoying. I still cringe when I remember the clanging like a fire bell from a clock my husband brought to our marriage. That clock mysteriously disappeared. I can read this one without my glasses and in the dark I can push a button to light up the dial and not have to turn on the bedside light. What more can I ask?

Seiko Travel Alarm Clock Ultra Thin Black Matte Case Review

Seiko Travel Alarm Clock Ultra Thin Black Matte Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is truly a great little clock. Thin, accurate and also, completely silent. I find ticking clocks very disturbing and this one makes no noise at all. I have have several: this and the other model that is nearly identical except that it is gold. I keep one bedside, and travel with one. It is a great daily alarm with an easy-to-use snooze function, and a superb travel clock as it is totally thin, light and DEPENDABLE (unlike hotel wake-up calls, even in 5 star hotels as we recently found in Barcelona...were it not for this travel clock, we would have missed our flight.)
The battery lasts at least 7 years, is easy to replace, and inexpensive (approx. $3.00 US at Target) Just be sure to get the correct thickness of battery...I accidentally got what I thought was the right one, but lithium batteries come in varied thicknesses and as I had gotten the wrong thickness, it did not power up my clock so I thought the clock had conked out...on closer inspection I found my error and the clock is now into its 15th year!

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have been trying to find a reliable device that keeps excellent time, is easy to maintain, simple to use, portable and not loaded with a bunch of useless features. I wanted such a device to set all of our watches and clocks by. This is THE device. I have tested it against a Casio PAW500 atomic watch and they were both exactly the same. This atomic alarm clock runs on a battery that is easily replaceable. Excellent item, great quality. A rare find in todays world where everything is made in China of inferior materials and no quality control.

Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock Black Case with Silver-Tone Trim Review

Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock Black Case with Silver-Tone Trim
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I first bought one for my son because he had trouble setting other clocks for school and would get up late.. later got another since my wife and I kept changing wake settings and I needed my own.
Setting the alarm is SUPER easy. There is a built in night-light, amber when the alarm is turned off, green when on. Auto-sensor turns off LED in the daytime or when lights are on. Pressing the snooze button increases LED brightness making the clock easily visible in the dark. I thought the LEDs would mean frequent battery changes but they last and last. Alarm sound is an escalating beep that increases in volume.
This is a great clock for any drowsy person to operate correctly.

With a classic-meets-modern look, useful snooze and glowing features, and an easy, portable design, the Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock Black Case is perfect for home or travel. The clock rests on a black plastic base with a large dial at the bottom right that rotates to adjust the time. Framed in a silver-tone trim case, the white dial features large, easy-to-read Arabic numeral hour markers, luminous hands, including a quiet-sweep second hand, and a light sensor to make the clock face glow softly in the dark. By pushing the button on top of the case, the dial glows brighter. When an alarm is set, the dial illuminates green; when off, it glows amber. Hitting the snooze button resets the alarm to ring again in a few minutes. This bedside clock is ready to use with three AA batteries included.

Bulova Astronaut Alarm Clock - Black Dial - Chrome Finish Review

Bulova Astronaut Alarm Clock - Black Dial - Chrome Finish
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This alarm has turned out to be pretty useless. It's quite small as I'd read, but that's where the good stuff ends. There's no snooze, no light, and you can't set an exact wake up time. There's a single hand that sets the alarm off, but you have to approximate the time. You can't turn the alarm back on either, because it will continue to go off until it's 30 minutes past the set time. It's also quite cheaply made. Pushing a bit too hard either on or off will cause the entire clock face to spin. The metal cover is quite wobbly. I was hoping for something a bit classy to back up my other travel alarms, but this thing is garbage.
