(More customer reviews)The decor works well on our mantle. However the clock, which is easy to read, is mounted just slightly crooked. Perhaps most people would not notice that it is about 2° off. I would call the one I got a factory second. However I can live with it at the price I paid. I am not returning it, but I would if it had been a more expensive item.

Howard Miller 645-653 Bishop Table Clock Review

(More customer reviews)This is a really beautiful clock in person. I wanted something that would look nice on the night stand (read: not a modern digital clock) but still had alarm functionality, and this clock delivers. The alarm is not very loud, so it may not work well for heavy sleepers. You can hear a slight tick from the second hand (especially in the dead of night), but compared to other clocks I own, it's relatively soft. The clock is a lot heavier than I assumed it would be-from the picture it looks more wood-like, but the clock casing and the scroll work are metal.
The only negative for me was the "Made in China" stamp on the rear of the base. The stamp is bright white and very obvious (which would be fine if it were on the bottom of the clock, but it's on the rear of base/platform). No deduction in stars for this - a few dabs with a black Sharpie took care of it!

I recently purchased this clock. It is a very attractive little clock and for this price you don't expect exceptionally high quality however; when I un packed it the hands were loose and it was impossible to set the clock. There was no return label or address so I had no idea how to mail it back. When I emailed the company as to my problem I was informed that sometimes these clock hands get loose in shipping and that the plastic front of the clock is easily removed, the hands can then be tightened and all will be well. Right..... I twisted and pryed and pulled and could not remove the plastic front under any circumstances. I did however, succeed in breaking the plastic ring surrounding the plastic cover. Even after this the cover would not come off. This is a cute clock but the workmanship is very bad. Don't waste your money.

(More customer reviews)Looks nice from the picture but this clock should cost less then 2 dollars. I would send it back but I unfortunately gave it to a friend. I am asking the friend to throw it away instead of feeling obligated to keep it. This is my first review. Please don't buy this clock.
