Westclox 1964 Big Ben Classic Black Alarm Clock Review

Westclox 1964 Big Ben Classic Black Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

Wont run much more than 24 hours on single wind, need plyers to turn hands spinner. This cheap plastic clone is not as loud as original metal Big Ben, nor are luminus hands as visible in dark. There are no luminus dots by numbers either. Unsatisfied with product.

Ingraham Clocks 15-396 Ardmore Twin Bell Alarm Clock Review

Ingraham Clocks 15-396 Ardmore Twin Bell Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This alarm clock is the real deal. The honest-to-goodness tick-tock is great white noise, and there's something just innately satisfying about *winding* a real clock! I'm no luddite (I find that an iphone is a pretty darn handy thing to carry around), but I've grown tired of how it seems *everything* around us seems to have a zillion electronic features competing for our attention.
The only thing that keeps me from giving this 5 stars is that it comes up a bit short in execution. You can expect it to work just fine for a while, but my experience is that you shouldn't expect heirloom quality for your $10 investment. I'm on at least my third generation of this clock, and I find that they typically last maybe two years before the winding mechanism starts to get wonky. Eventually, you can expect it to start stopping randomly (yes it's irritating), and you'll presumably have to replace it.
I think a clock should last longer, but I figure for $10 you get what you pay for. If somebody would come out with a higher quality version with a longer life expectancy, I'd gladly trade up. Until then, I'm willing to tolerate the tradeoff.

Westclox Baby Ben Alarm Clock (11611K) (1 Pack) Review

Westclox Baby Ben Alarm Clock (11611K) (1 Pack)
Average Reviews:

The windup keys and dial knobs are too close together for adults.
It is almost impossible for me to wind the clock and adjust the time.
Also, when fully wound it won't run 24 hours. I bought the Baby Ben because I hate the buzzers on electric alarms. But now I found a battery one with a variety of tones to choose from.

Chaney Instruments Superbell Metal Case Alarm Clock Review

Chaney Instruments Superbell Metal Case Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

The clock is mechanical. I did not know they are still made, so I did not pay attention that in the description no batteries were mentioned... Why not state the fact clearly? I purchased it and now have to wind it up every day. I also have to put it far from my bed not to listen to ticktacks, which are rather loud. The only good thing about this clock is its turn-off button, which is big, visible and easily accessible.

Bulova Holgate Bedside Key Wind Bell Alarm Clock - Antique Bronze Finish Review

Bulova Holgate Bedside Key Wind Bell Alarm Clock - Antique Bronze Finish
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The previous reviewers were both right. The clock is very loud and the knobs are too close together. It's the ticking inside this clock that will drive you mad. First, I had it on the night stand. Then I had to move it to the opposite side of the room and could still hear it. Finally, I had to move it to outside the bedroom door. I felt like I was in a Poe novel and had done something horrible to deserve the incessant ticking in my ears.
It looks nice but it was poorly designed.

NYC Holdings LLC 11505 Baby Ben Clock Review

NYC Holdings LLC 11505 Baby Ben Clock
Average Reviews:

When I was looking for a wind up clock, I found this and immediately liked the look of it. I read many reviews and they were not too good. I thought I would still take a chance because no other clock had this look and the button on top. I'm glad I took the chance. I've had the clock for a month now and it keeps great time. I have not had to adjust it yet. I wind it every night before I go to bed. I haven't had a problem with the winding running out in 24 hours. The ring is loud but not too loud. The size is perfect to sit on a night stand. The ticking also isn't too loud but you can still hear it. If the house is quiet, I can hear it. If the central air comes on, I can't hear it too well. I love the button on top. No fidgeting to find the switch on the back of the clock to turn off the alarm. The only reason I give this clock 4 stars is because of the plastic back and base. I was under the impression the back and base would be metal.

I bought this clock to replace one that got broken. I mailed it back to be fixed. It could not be repaired. Equity sent me a replacement, which is a different model. I haven't opened the one from Amazon yet, but it is the same model clock that got broken. Thank you.

Wake up to the loud extended bell ring of this beautiful alarm clock from Equity by La Crosse. With its classic key-wound design, the clock eliminates the necessity of electricity or batteries, requiring only the manpower to regularly wind the clock. The clock keeps time for up to 30 hours per winding. The clock is crafted in durable metal casing with a padded base to prevent scratches to tabletops. Framed by a handsome brass-plated bezel, a glass lens protects the white clock face. Contrasting black numerals and minute markers circle the clock's dial. Additionally, a long slender clock hand ticks off seconds and another clock hand indicates the alarm time. On the backside of the clock, users set the time and alarm with the designated knobs and activate the alarm with its on/off pin. Should the clock run fast or slow when fully wound, the user can adjust the regulator's level with the provided control. Made in China, this item is covered by a limited manufacturer's warranty. I bought this clock to replace my "Baby Ben" that I had for thirteen years. When I received it, it looked nice and I liked the second hand but it was difficult to make out the functions on the back. The worst was the clock wind up. It turned counterclockwise. I kept scraping my thumb trying to wind it. I DO NOT recommend!!

15534 Loud Twin Bell Alarm Clock Review

15534 Loud Twin Bell Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought one of these because power outtages are common where I live and wanted something that didn't require any "juice" to be able to read the time..and an alarm I could rely on....plus, I really liked the look. It's a cool looking clock. BUT...getting it to keep time was a challenge. It took constant adjusting and I finally got to a point where the time keeping was "ok" and quit messing with it. The real bummer? It just STOPPED RUNNING! I never overwound it...I did everything right...it just quit. It would run for an hour or so and stop...same thing over and over. DON'T buy this clock unless you want to throw away your money like I did. Plus, if it quits on you, obviously you CAN'T DEPEND ON IT! You've been warned!

I have had this for a little while and it keeps good time so far. The picture of the clock shows one that was made in USA, but the clock I got was made in China so I am worried about its durability since I got a Chinese one that lasted less than 2 years and my American made one lasted 17 years. The clock looks differently from the picture as well.

Ordered two of these alarm clocks, One was inoperable out of the box. The second is still working after one month. The quality is not what I had expected. Apparently no QA at the factory. No way for refund from Amazon or the supplier. Probably won't purchase from them again.

Bell and Howell Glow in the Dark Alarm Clock Review

Bell and Howell Glow in the Dark Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
If you are actually looking for a glow in the dark clock you do NOT want this clock. I hate having to backlight a clock to see what time it is in the night so I purchased this battery operated glow in the dark clock. Well it doesn't glow in the dark and you cannot tell what time it is without having to turn on the light, which totally defeats the purpose of this clock.
The only thing this clock does is keep time, and I don't know how accurate it is on that either as I have only had the clock for a week.

I agree with a previous review that a more detailed description would be helpful. This classic Big Ben is a wind up clock with a familiar ticktock sound and loud alarm. It is not the electronic look-alike version. But this 1960s technology is exactly what my eighty year old Mom was wanting. Delivery and service were great.

Equity by La Crosse 14076 Analog Quartz Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

Shipping was timely. Product is less than advertised. The luminous dial is hardly that! After "charging" in bright light for 5 min. or longer, the dial was barely readable in pitch dark (as in a bed room at night). Not as expected! Pathetic, might be accurate. Misleading... at least.

Wake up to the loud beep of this quartz alarm clock. From Equity by La Crosse, the bedside alarm clock features a white casing around its classic analog dial. The clock numbers are outlined in black with luminous interiors for increased visibility when checking the time at night. Likewise, the black hour and minute hands feature luminous centers. A long, slim red hand ticks off the seconds while a shorter, red hand indicates the alarm's set time. Using the two knobs on the back of the clock, the user sets the time and alarm; a sliding switch turns the alarm on and off. The clock requires the separate purchase of one AA battery. Made in China, a limited manufacturer warranty covers this item. The clock measures 4 inches wide by 2 inches deep by 4-1/2 inches high.
