(More customer reviews)This clock fulfills all of your travel needs. I spent a half hour slogging thru the dozens of Amazon travel clocks to find this one. I can't believe no one else has reviewed it. I refuse to trust wake up services. When I have to leave for the airport at 4am, I want my own reliable alarm clock to wake me up.
My old digi-clock of twenty years just pooped out. I liked it cuz it was digital (no ticking sound), small (size of pack of cigarettes, EZ time set and inexpensive at $10+. The EZ time set is the most important feature for me. I hate those clocks that one has to run thru 23 hours to change the time back by one hour. This clock allows one to +/- just one hour (or minute). It is essential when cruising in the Carribee or Mex Riviera where the time zone changes almost nightly.
We don't wear wrist watches any more and it is nice to whack the clock in the middle of the night to see the time. Is it almost time to get up at 6am or can one roll over at midnight?

From Elgin, this folding travel alarm clock snaps closed in its sleek black housing, enabling compact packing and preserving the time settings while in transit. With a 1-inch LCD display, the clock conveys the time of day, the alarm's time setting, the month and date, and the day of the week. The clock also provides AM/PM indicators. To illuminate the digital display in the dark, a blue backlight is activated by pressing the big button on the clock's front. This button doubles as the snooze button, silencing the alarm for a little extra shuteye. To set the alarm and time, a plus/minus function allows the user to adjust to the desired hour and minute quickly instead of requiring scrolling through all the hours and minutes of the day. Powered by two included button cell SR44 batteries, the travel alarm clock also benefits from a five-year limited warranty. The clock measures 4 by 2-1/5 by 2-1/2 inches and weighs 1 pound upon shipping.

I don't know what he's talking about because this radio's readability is as good as it gets. He must have it set on dim read out. The reception on FM is excellent. On AM, it's absolutely amazing! I live in an NYC apartment with so much ambient AM radio interference that I seldom enjoy AM -- up until this Sony ICF-C707! Nearly FM quality on AM! All this with great style. This is one of those rare machines that is nearly perfectly pleasing.

A pocket radio with the following features: good reception, digital tuning, light, alarm, clock, presets, good speaker sound, fits in my pocket, has built in earbuds (that retract with a push of a button!), stereo FM when you use the earbuds (or your own headphones), lock switch, TV audio, built in telescoping antenna, auto turn off after 90 minutes (which you can easily cancel). This is a great radio, the best pocket radio with a built in speaker that I have seen. Sangean usually has terrible reception and their radios usually have a lot of noise between stations but this one receives and selects as well as my Sony! Definitely get this if you want apocket radio with a speaker!

But this one is better quality, so we expect it to last even longer! The LED display is compact, not too big. The brightness is just right by night or day. The controls are intuitive and very easy to set. It keeps time even in event of a power failure (blanked until power is restored). It's a simple, no frills design, well executed and at an unbeatable price. Full marks!

Stick Up Digital Clock with Date - See Through Review

(More customer reviews)i bought this to put up near the television so we could see the time easily. we don't keep our family room well lit because we generally watch television in the family room. this clock is very difficult to read in low to medium lit rooms. i taped a white piece of paper behind the digits, but that still doesn't help much as the text is not bright at all even though the picture of it here on Amazon.com looks bright. ah well.
