Equity by La Crosse 65901 Hybrid Solar Analog Alarm Clock Review

Equity by La Crosse 65901 Hybrid Solar Analog Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

The clock is, as the other reviewer stated, light and at first feels "flimsy." It's plastic, and a little bigger than a deck of cards; smaller than I was expecting.
The 'ticking' issue is pretty irrelevant I can't hear it in my bed and it's literally fifteen inches from my ear, so it's really a non-issue. The light feature is great, the alarm works well, and the deco-styling is pretty nice for a clock this size. The top solar panel works as the "snooze" / alarm off button, which is handy.
Overall, quite pleased. I hope it holds up.

Stylish and classic, this analog alarm clock not only looks great on the bedside table, but it also enjoys hybrid battery and solar power for energy efficiency. The Equity by La Crosse 65901 alarm clock absorbs light with its top-mounted solar panel to convert into power. By operating off solar power during daylight hours, the clock extends the life of its batteries to upwards of two years. The clock is crafted with sleek, silver plastic casing and features easy-to-read, black numbers on its dial. In dim or dark settings, an on-demand green backlight illuminates the clock dial, and the clock's hour and minute hands glow. A slender silver clock hand ticks off seconds, and another clock hand indicates the set alarm hour. To wake the user more gently, the alarm ascends in volume gradually, and a snooze function is available. The clock requires the separate purchase of two AA alkaline batteries. For optimum efficiency, place the clock in a well-lit environment. The clock measures 4 inches wide by 1-1/2 inches deep by 3-1/2 inches high.

Timex T307S - Clock radio Review

Timex T307S - Clock radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
1. Very hard to set, you must read poor instruction manual carefully. I've had to dig out the instructions several times as near impossible to just look at clock then set.
2. I work rotating shift work so have to change alarm times often, takes a long time to move alarm.
3. Has 3 levels of back light on face, even on low setting the light is to bright so have to keep clock facing away from me.
4. Has radio, but again difficult to use, so I use nature/buzz alarm only.
Now the bad stuff, worked OK for about 2 months but now:
1. Power button won't work so can't turn radio on.
2. The dimmer/snooze button works for snooze but I can no longer cycle through the 3 different light levels.
3. All 4 nature sounds are gone, when set they sound BUZZ alarm only.
I've unplugged unit & pulled BATT's hoping to get unit to reset itself, but no luck. I'm very dissapointed with Timex. Very poor design. Poor quality. I will replace clock with a different brand.

Timex T315SX Travel Alarm Clock Radio (Silver) Review

Timex T315SX Travel Alarm Clock Radio (Silver)
Average Reviews:

Great product. Indestructable clamshell close, lightweight, and small for travel, a new battery lasts for a year or two, loud alarm, big numbers and nighttime visibility, snooze seems to keep working no matter how many times you hit it, am and fm work fine. I've bought 6 of these in the past, given most of them away to guests who used them and really liked them, and logged on again today to buy a few more. I've bought dozens of different small travel alarm clocks over the past 30 years (which I also use for my main home alarm clock--I don't like switching when I travel), and this is by far the best ever. I'm buying more so that I don't ever run out--I worry they'll quit making it someday. Never have known any of them to miss an alarm, in spite of that other review to the contrary.

Timex T309T Alarm Clock Radio with Nature Sounds (Titanium) Review

Timex T309T Alarm Clock Radio with Nature Sounds (Titanium)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a nice little item. It has good sound quality and three types of alarm: radio, buzzer, and nature sounds (there are 3 or 4 of these to choose from). You can specify whether an alarm setting works every day, only on weekdays, or only on weekends. Each alarm setting has its own radio station or nature sound (and volume) associated with it. It's got a nice big snooze button on top, which doubles as a display dimmer (my favorite feature).
I've come across just a couple disappointments in the week that I've had it.
- I thought I'd be able to create a radio-alarm setting for weekdays and another radio-alarm setting (same time, but different station) for weekends. Can't do it. You get one setting for each type of alarm.
- The radio preset buttons are arranged in a line across the front of the unit. The band setting button is in that line too, to its left. So if you want preset #1, you've got to punch the second button. Hitting the first button switches you to AM.
All in all, though, it's worth the [money].

The Timex T309TT triple-alarm clock radio lets you wake to your choice of AM/FM radio, buzzer, or any of four nature sounds (wind, brook, surf, and forest spring). Yes, you read correctly: the triple-alarm system lets you set three independent alarm times and wake sounds.Even if you're waking alone, you might want to set the device to trigger, say, soothing nature sounds at 7 a.m., a gentle radio station at 7:15, and a blaring buzzer at 7:30 just in case your heinie is still in the sack when it ought to be in the shower. Use the convenient 7-5-2 system to set your alarm(s) for the week, weekdays, or the weekend.Store up to 18 radio stations in memory, accessible through six one-touch tuning buttons. The radio offers drift-free PLL (phase-locked loop) digital tuning and displays station frequency and preset numbers.Time to crash? Drift into sleep to the radio or soothing nature sounds using the programmable sleep timer. The unit also offers a 99-year calendar (2000 to 2099) with year/month/day display and a sure-alarm battery backup system.

Does exactly what it says. Nothing fancy about it. It's small, sturdy and has a loud alarm. Had it for about a year and after a bit of abuse, it's starting to fail. Will probably be ordering another to replace the one I have. On the downside, it is a bit overpriced. Took a star off because of that.

Timex T435B MP3/CD Line-In 8-Color Clock Radio Review

Timex T435B MP3/CD Line-In 8-Color Clock Radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a nice clock for the office, but I don't depend on it to wake me up. I chose this clock because of the dual alarms and iPod connection. The buzzer alarm is not very loud and turns off automatically when the radio alarm goes off. The radio is not good - very bad reception that fades in and out without moving the dial or antenna wire. I'm going to find a better alarm clock and take this to the office as a desk clock & iPod speaker. The good features: dimmer for the display, 2,5, 7 day alarms, automatically updates with Daylight Savings change and you can adjust the volume for the sleep setting without changing the alarm volume.

Timex T438TT - Clock radio Review

Timex T438TT - Clock radio
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this item for my son and was rather pleased with it. I was surprised that Timex hasn't sold this radio on its audio merits which are actually pretty good with stations broadcasting a stronger FM signal. The tuner is still only analog and therefore subject to drift, but the mono speaker sounds surprisingly good. If this radio had a PLL tuner it would merit a four star (or perhaps more) rating. The clock features are adequate and what one would expect from Timex. (the Former Waterbury Clock Co.) It is not a Boston Acoustics Receptor, however, considering the price, its a good buy

Seiko Bedside Alarm Get Up and Glow Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case Review

Seiko Bedside Alarm Get Up and Glow Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case
Average Reviews:

I need a clock in my bathroom. This one fits the bell and is vey chic looking. My only complaint is that it is not very visible. The numbers blends into the dark grey background. The background should've been white or lighter color. (There's nightlight that you can press but it doesn't stay too long.) The clock, the alarm, and the date are all very easy to set up. It is small enough so that it doesn't take up too much counter space. I'm glad I bought it -- just wished that it was more visible.

Timex T740 Redi-Set Dual Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projector, Flashlight, Soothing Sounds, and Battery Back-Up (Black) Review

Timex T740 Redi-Set Dual Alarm Clock Radio with Time Projector, Flashlight, Soothing Sounds, and Battery Back-Up (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a very well designed alarm clock with some useful features. The radio reception was excellent, as far as where I placed it. It has a wire antenna which you can move it around to find a good reception. The rechargeable flashlight can become handy during power outage. The projection illumination feature can be turned on or off, and when turned on in the dark, you can see the time on the ceiling or on the wall. The alarm buzzer is very very low, compared to my older Timex alarm clock. However, the alarm can be set to use the radio, or the "Soothing Sound" feature (3 sound settings with "Ocean Waves," "Brooks," and "Wind Cime.") which you can control the loudness with the volume knob. If the volume is set on high, it's very loud and annoying. That's the way I like it! Otherwise, it wouldn't be any use as an alarm clock because the buzzer is no use. I'd say the sound level of the buzzer is comparable to a wrist watch. The buzzer sounds so calming, that it puts me back to sleep. ZZZzzzzzzz..... This is where those "Soothing Sound" mode comes in handy. I set the volume on MAX, and I use the "Wind Chime" mode. It's very loud and annoying. LoL. The "Ocean Wave" when set on high, it sounds lika a bad 2-way radio static. The sound of "Brooks" (running water) might cause you to wet your bed..... That horrific thought, made me not to use that setting.
The automatic time adjustment is a plus. It has a built-in replaceable lithium battery for back-up, and as soon as you plug it in, it automatically adjusts for the correct time and date. When you first open the box, the time zone is set to the Eastern Time. So, all you need to do is set it to the correct time zone. It also, has a daylight saving time feature with the current up to date setting, and you can turn this feature on or off. The time and date can be manually adjusted, too. If you're like me, who likes to set the alarm clock about 5-10 minutes ahead, this gives you a peace of mind. Also, what's great about the "back-up" feture is that, in the event of a power outage, the clock display will be turned off, but the alarm will still come on at the set time. When the power is back on, the clock will re-adjust it self back to the correct time. The rechargeable flashlight with its switch to the "automatic" mode, it will also turn on when the power goes out, as well as it turns on when the flashlight is lifted out of the cradle. When the lithium battery is low on power, it will show in the display. It uses a standard calculator battery which can be purchased at a local supermarket or at a pharmacy.
Furthermore, this clock has the basic big "SNOOZE" button which comes on every 5 minutes? (I think?).
It even has a sleep timer which I never use.
Once the alarm comes on, it can be shut off by pressing the "Alarm 1" or "Alarm 2" button which is a small button.
It'll come back on the next day at the same time. There's also, a separate "Alarm 1" and "Alarm 2" switch to permanantly shut it off. This is the switch to choose between "OFF," "Radio/Soothing Sound," and the useless "Buzzer" mode.
The dual alarm setting with "Alarm 1" and "Alarm 2" is just like having two alarm clocks in one.
It can individually be set to turn on only during the weekdays (M,T,W,TH,F) or just during the weekends (SAT&SUN).
Not quite adjustable compared to my cell phone, but, that's another story.
The only drawback is that, since it has so many features to it, you would have to go through the manual to "fine tune" this clock in order for it to work the way you want it to work.
If you're looking for just a single alarm clock with a battery back-up with a good loud buzzer, there's probably a few out there being sold for half as much. But if you're looking for a dual alarm clock with a battery back-up, this would be a good compromise considering the price and its features since the low buzzer problem can be overcome by the use of the radio or the "Soothing Sound" mode blasting the volume level. LoL!

Timex T436B - Clock radio with time projector Review

Timex T436B - Clock radio with time projector
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This clock is really nice. It has good radio reception, the adjustable Indiglo backlight for the display is clear, the projection feature is nice, and the speaker itself is good. This is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. If you're like me, this clock isn't that good, if you're the opposite, then it may be 4 or 5 stars.
What bothered me were the backlight, the date, and the alarm. The backlight feature is a permanent setting when used, in the sense that it will be on or at that level of brightness all the time. I would have loved a separate setting that allowed the backlight to be turned on (push a button) and then it shuts off after 10-30 seconds for checking time in the middle of the night.
This clock keeps track of the date as well, however, if you set an alarm, it will replace the date view with the earliest alarm set. Since I wasn't expecting the clock to keep track of the date, this didn't bother me, but it didn't make sense to me to see the alarm time all the time.
The feature that drove me to return this clock, the deal breaker, is the Alarm itself. First, there is no actual alarm buzzer/beep sound. Second, the alarm sound used is the last setting you chose on the clock (radio/natural sounds/MP3 input) at the sound level you had it at. I can be a heavy sleeper, and the alarm on this clock does not increase volume over time or have it's own beeping sound independent of the radio, natural sounds, or MP3 input. Before sleeping, I like to turn the radio on for some music on a 15 minute timer, but this is with low volume; hence I could not rely on the alarm of this clock without sacrificing listening to the radio before I sleep.

Timex T065S Solar Powered Radio Controlled Atomic Alarm Clock Review

Timex T065S Solar Powered Radio Controlled Atomic Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This is a great clock. The several others I purchased and returned before I ordered this one had a display so bright it was like having a night light sitting on the nightstand. This display is lit only when you press the button on top and then only for a few seconds - a second or two longer would be good but it's ok the way it is. Its features all work great: the solar power, setting itself from the atomic clock, and the date, time and temperature display. I have three complaints: pressing the button on top to turn on the indiglo night light to view the display makes a fairly loud click noise, one cannot choose to leave the indiglo light on (as one could on previous models of Timex alarm clocks), and the switch to turn the alarm on and off is not convenient.
