Chass Smart Lite Travel Alarm Clock Review

Chass Smart Lite Travel Alarm Clock

I bought this item because it has a "smart lite" that stays on all night - problem is that you must have the alarm ON to use this feature.
Other compalaint:the function switch for setting time and alarm is too small, stiff, and difficult to get into the correct postiton.

Vibrating & Talking Travel Alarm Clock Review

Vibrating and Talking Travel Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I purchased this item to have a back up, portable alarm clock that vibrates. The product says the time verbally every hour at its loudest --- and I should note --- only setting. There is no volume control or off setting to turn the talking portion of the clock off --- only a linear button to somehow turn the alarm on and off with a ding dong chime or vibration. It's functionally unusable and is one of the most poorly designed products that I have ever encountered. Save your money and time.

Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case Review

Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock Silver-Tone Metallic Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'm always looking for the Nirvana product...best briefcase, cellphone, carry-on bag, toiletries container...and that's just for travel. I'm obsessive about my golf clubs, cars, televisions, etc. So when I stayed in a luxury hotel in Palo Alto, CA, this somewhat normal looking clock was on the nightstand. I looked at it, no cord, but a very large and readable face. And what was this little dial on the lower right? I spun it and it was the most effective and easy to use alarm setting dial I had ever seen...on the front of the clock!!!! I noticed it had a simple alarm on/off on the right and a large snooze button on top. Also, on the lower left was what looked like some kind of sensor. So I set the alarm and a placed a backup wakeup call as I usually do to the front desk. When I turned the light off, I noticed that the clock face was glowing green from a small LED in the lower part of the dial! Turned the light back on and it went off. Turned the alarm off and the light off and the face glowed orange! So, turned the alarm back on, face glows green again!!!! So, if you're an idiot like me, then you get "reassurance" that the alarm is on if it's green. And if you want it even brighter, you press the snooze on top. The alarm is escalating, and incredibly effective. This thing should be in the MOMA for a design award. One of the best and most fairly priced items I've ever purchased on Amazon. I regularly give them for gifts to my team and friends. Only problem, it's a little large to travel with. BTW, I asked the front desk if I could keep the clock and they could charge it to my room and they said "sure, people ask to keep that clock all the time!" Might want to order some LiIon batteries, 3 AAs to go along with it. I think the silver one is cooler looking than the black one.

Advance Clamshell Travel Alarm Review

Advance Clamshell Travel Alarm

I was disappointed in this clock. The case is cheap plastic and the little mechanism that makes it sit upright doesn't work easily or rapidly, so you have to technique it to make it sit upright.
Additionally, the alarm is so quiet that I can't imagine it waking me, or anybody else.
I liked the second hand; I appreciated that it ran on a battery instead of winding, but the silent alarm and difficulty making it sit upright means this one goes in the GoodWill pile. It costs as much to ship it back as it cost.
A bad puchase, save your money.

Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock Black Metallic Case Review

Seiko Bedside Alarm Clock Black Metallic Case
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This clock's best features include accurate timekeeping, adjustable alarm volume, and quiet operation. Some say the clock is ugly but I would say it qualifies as handsome. At night you can see the time with a glowing face and radium dials. There is also a second hand sweep and the alarm appears accurate.
There are three gotchas though. First and most important, the lamp (light bulb) is exceptionally weak and makes it difficult to adjust the time without another source of light. Second, the glowing face and radium dials are somewhat weak in my opinion. My wife, who is the one using the clock, says she can see the time at night, meaning the glow is adequate for her. Third, this clock is pricey but with a weak dollar what can you expect.
I offered to return the clock because of the weak light bulb but she rather keep it. Message to Seiko: fix the bulb and you have a great alarm clock.
Single AA battery, attractive plastic face and case, one pullout knob on back to set time and alarm, on/off slide button on side of clock for alarm, adjustable alarm volume knob and speaker in front, wide base for exceptional stability.
Update about 10 months later: One day, the alarm went off about 35 minutes early. Turns out that if we set the alarm sweep (hand) by turning clockwise a small distance, we would be woken up early (very bad Seiko). The trick is to always turn the alarm sweep counter-clockwise; then you wake up on time.

Bulova Excel - Digital Travel Alarm Clock - Calendar & Calculator Review

Bulova Excel - Digital Travel Alarm Clock - Calendar and Calculator
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This Bulova Travel Alarm is nicely designed but even the second one failed to work. The units are sent with the batteries installed and active (for who knows how long) and thus we could not read the screen on the first one we received. Not knowing if it was the battery or other problems, I sought a replacement. The Company, Weatherbuffs, was outstanding and arranged for a replacement immediately and conveniently. Unfortunately, when the second Bulova arrived directly from Bulova, it didn't work at all! I checked the battery and it was fully charged and yet nothing would work.
Again, Weatherbuffs was super and refunded our money immediately. I am very satisfied with Weatherbuffs - excellent customer service. It was the Bulova Travel Alarm that failed me - twice!

Howard Miller 645-652 Abigail Alarm Clock Review

Howard Miller 645-652 Abigail Alarm Clock
Average Reviews:

A perfect clock for a print lay-out or as a prop on a stage set. Pretty to look at but doesn't deliver on function at all. The clock adjustment knobs on the backside are tiny and difficult to turn (if they turn at all). The button on top of clock to set alarm on/off feature moves so slightly it was difficult to tell if alarm was set as "on" or "off". Alarm is quiet to start and becomes louder, that was a nice feature. But setting the alarm time was pointless as alarm never started on it's own. Not a reliable product at all.

Casio PQ15-1K Travel Alarm Clock with Thermometer Review

Casio PQ15-1K Travel Alarm Clock with Thermometer
Average Reviews:

I've owned this clock for several years - it's dependable, durable and reliable. I find it great to have the temperature readout, in both Fahrenheit and Celcius (that way I can whine bi-lingually when it's hot..). I've travelled with it, camped with it, and use it as my everyday bedside alarm. My only complaint is that the snooze button is set for only 5 minutes per "snooze" - hardly enough.

Jetlag Travel Alarm Clock Red Review

Jetlag Travel Alarm Clock Red
Average Reviews:

This clock is perfect for those who don't like a lot of unnecessary flash and sparkle in a travel alarm clock. It is about the size of a deck of cards with four main buttons (including a light). It displays the current time, and the time the alarm is set for. If you want a basic and functional alarm clock for travel, this is perfect.
