I like the good visibility of the face, and also like the progressive increase in the alarm volume, and also the snooze button is easy to hit. What I don't like is that the alarm hand is not well aligned with the time it actually alarms. My Staiger could be set with the alarm hand within about 5 minutes. This alarm, I'm lucky to hit it within 15 minutes. I have learned to adjust, but sometimes the alarm hand drags with the hour hand, so the next day it is later unless I adjust it again. Finally, I liked the Staiger alarm clock I had because the on/off button was on top. If it was up, the alarm was on, if it was down, it was off, so a simple glance would suffice to check. With this Advance alarm, the on/off switch is in the back, and small. So I have to go in a feel for it to see it is turned on. That causes unnecessary delay. Also, that on/off switch is close to the alarm hand position control knob, and that makes the operation more difficult as well since you don't want to move that hand and get up and wrong time. I can't find a better analog alarm, but would be willing to pay more for a better design.
