Talking Time, Month and Date Alarm Clock Review

I purchased two of these clocks at different times, one for myself and then one for my grandmother, who has macular degeneration and absolutely loves this clock. Although the previous clocks aren't branded "Reizen", they're identical to this one. I'm buying another one for my grandmother so that she can have one in her bedroom as well as her kitchen.
This is a great clock, even for those with normal vision, but especially great for those with low vision or the blind. One tap on the big top button that runs the length of the clock speaks the time in a pleasant and very understandable British female voice, and a second tap speaks the date. There are no tiny extraneous buttons to accidentally push, which is important for low-vision users and a serious flaw in many other similar clocks.
There's an option for speaking the time on the hour. The time and date are set automatically according to the time broadcast from the NIST government clock in Colorado, so there's no need to fool with it when the time changes. The functions all make sense and are very easy to set, and the alarm setting as well as other other features are confirmed by voice. The clock uses AA batteries that last a long time, at least two years under normal use and they are simple to change.
The single lacking feature is a backlight, which would be nice for night table alarm clock use.

Curve Talking Clock Review

I have very poor vision. I also live in an area where power can go off at night.
So, I wanted an alarm clock that 1)Tells the time by talking to me, & 2)Is battery powered. This fits the bill nicely. I've had this one since the early 90's, & it's never failed me.
Oh, by the way: it does not use up the batteries fast. They last a good long time.
If this has been helpful, give me a vote.

Talking 4 Alarm Clock with EL Backlight Review

Talking 4 Alarm Clock with EL Backlight

I bought this clock previously from Radio Shack under their brand name. All our frends were amazed at how clear that it sounds. We liked it so well that we wanted to give them as Christmas gifts, but Radio Shack no longer sales them, so I went looking on the net and found them here.
The sound is loud and clear and can be heard softly throughout the home. This clarity is very importent to my wife because she is handicaped, and with this talking clock she doesn't have to get up to see the time, she can hear it. I've tried others but the sound of their mechanical voice isn't very understandable.

I bought 2 of these clocks and neither one kept the right time on the clock. Sometimes it would crow in the middle of the night for no reason, scary. I call it my haunted clock.

Tel-Time Pyramid Talking Alarm Clock Review

Tel-Time Pyramid Talking Alarm Clock

I guess they changed the product and picture between the time I ordered the item and the time it arrived, because what I ordered was a "talking pyramid" but what arrived was the "tel-time" clock in the same shape. That doesn't matter. It was advertised with three different types of alarm sounds, but as far as I can tell, it has only one, which is a rooster. I had ordered these for my hard-to-wake-up children, so I thought a choice of alarms would be fun - oh well. Aside from that, the clock talks (English) and there is a choice of three different levels of loudness. As shown in the picture, there is no time display (only on the bottom in a little window for setting time and alarm), the clock only talks.
