(More customer reviews)lights up well during night but not so much that you would notice with your eyes shut or open but a quick glance you can see it. very easy to operate. ive read many reviews where people bought this alarm clock as a desk clock or as an extra clock and ther complaint was that the clock was not bright enough but its not supposed to be bright its meant to be in a dark bedroom. the alarm is one of the best ive heard(not annoying). vie had it for nine months and have had no problems with it yet.
