(More customer reviews)I got this alarm clock for my thirteen year old granddaughter. She's a big Doctor Who fan. She loved this clock. The alarm works as it should. The alarm goes off for about 15 minutes and then shuts off. I haven't found out why but this clock announces one of it's four recorded messages at random. My daughter said the random "Exterminate!" woke her up in the next room three times the first time she used it. It did not wake up my granddaughter. Also the alarm did not wake her up either, but I think that's because it probably wouldn't wake up a teenager if a dump truck crashed into a nitroglycerin plant. It came with batteries already installed. One of the batteries had leaked and made a big mess inside. Her father took the batteries out and gave it a good cleaning, and installed new batteries. Overall she loves the clock and that's what counts.
