I was surprised how big this clock is. It's about 4" X 4" and almost 2" thick. The build quality is not as sharp looking as I thought it would be, based on the photo. The controls are OK, but I was hoping for an easier on/off switch. Only the snooze and light are activated by the big button on top. To actually turn the alarm off, you have to find a small sliding switch on the back side. My biggest complaint though is that the alarm is extremely loud. I've had to tape a cloth over the hole in the housing where the sound comes out to dampen it. This has helped some, but it's still too loud and the cloth does not improve the looks. I guess I could sit down and figure out how to open the housing and muffle the sound from the inside, but it's not obvious how to get it open, and I could only summon the motivation to go to this kind of trouble if the clock were as cute as it looks in the picture.
