(More customer reviews)I own a Bose clock radio and a Bose CD clock radio. When my daughter started college, I wanted to buy her a good CD clock radio, but didn't want to spend the money for another Bose. I searched long and hard. There weren't many good choices. I first bought an Emerson SmartSet CD Clock Radio. It turned out to have two defects: the CD didn't play and the forward button didn't function. I returned it and bought this one.
This radio was built with quality. The sound quality was quite good. Most importantly, everything works, which isn't a low standard given my experience with the other radio. It even has an plug for earphones. My daughter has had it for several months now, and she is very happy with it. I think this is the best CD clock radio that you can find under $300.
