I saw this clock in my 88 year old neighbor's kitchen last month, and as we caught up over tea and carrot cake, every hour's chime was a real treat. I did my online research and chose this clock from this vendor, and I'm very pleased. Yesterday I hung my singing birdie clock and I love it to bits! Every hour my cats turn their heads and go.. "Whuuut?" The sound quality is perfect, it's loud enough to hear throughout the house, but not too loud, like there's a real bird in the kitchen for a few seconds. Nice feature that it goes quiet after dark. I'm sending one to my Mom today. Then she'll think of me every time a bird sings (as opposed to every time she feels a headache coming on). This is a really great gift. (You'll need 3 AA batteries on hand).
