(More customer reviews)While it has the appearance of working like a real sand hourglass, it's SORT OF like a powers of 2 clock where the use of simple arithmetric when counting the LED lights will tell you how much time is left. Although I'm not getting older, but getting better, my skills in basic math are slipping. This device does to help me think more in numerical terms. And as a timer, it is accurate.
