I was surprised that Timex hasn't sold this radio on its audio merits which are actually pretty good with stations broadcasting a stronger FM signal. The tuner is still only analog and therefore subject to drift, but the mono speaker sounds surprisingly good. If this radio had a PLL tuner it would merit a four star (or perhaps more) rating. The clock features are adequate and what one would expect from Timex. (the Former Waterbury Clock Co.) It is not a Boston Acoustics Receptor, however, considering the price, its a good buy
