(More customer reviews)After owning an AT&T phone that had poor quality sound, and an extremely limited range, we are thrilled to finally be enjoying a phone that delivers what it promises. The sound quality is excellent whether talking to someone with a landline or cell phone on the other end; and we can actually take the phone outside the house and talk a far distance from the main phone. We love both the variety of rings you can program (we have different ones in different rooms and it makes us laugh when the phone rings), as well as the fact that the phone, if you want, makes little sounds when you put it back on the cradle to indicate it is seated correctly. The phones are a nice size, nice looking, they fit in your hand easily and are relatively lightweight, but do not feel cheaply made. The phone itself is very easy to program, if you're familiar with programming electronic devices such as TVs, cell phones, etc. You do have to completely charge and then discharge the phone initially; but we soon realized that we could use the phones as they were discharging. Also you need to register additional handsets that don't come in the package of two. This is very easy if you follow the menu directions - simple text instructions appear in the window of the handset. It's easy to store numbers, but we've not had the time yet to explore every feature offered with this phone. Also need to say that contrary to a review we read before purchasing this phone, the Customer Service for Siemens was quite helpful. We called before we purchased the phone to ask some specifics and then afterward to ask about the charging process. We felt ANT online was thoroughly reliable for this order. All in all we're very happy with this purchase and enjoy the fact that the phones do not feel like they are manufactured with cheap materials and programmed obsolescence, sadly, the rule for many electronic products today.
