TIX Color Code LED Clock, Black Review

TIX Color Code LED Clock, Black

This clock is definitely a conversation starter!
Quality of build seems good. The brushed aluminum faceplate is nice. LED's aren't too bright or too dim (they are adjustable). Detailed instructions are included.
If you're interested in this clock then you are probably drawn to it for the visual appeal alone. It tells the time. Nothing more, nothing less (no alarm or AM/PM designation). Watching it change every four seconds (can be adjusted) is just fun. Once you get used to it, it's really easy to tell the time at a glance.
The only downsides (and these aren't really negatives) are that it is somewhat small in size and if you have bad eyes you are going to have trouble counting the blocks. Then again...if you have bad eyes you would have trouble with most LED/digital clocks anyways. ;x
This is one of my favorite purchases I've made in quite some time and I highly recommend it.

LEGO Kids' 9002137 Star Wars Storm Trooper Mini-Figure Alarm Clock Review

Has a red backlight to the clock face. No radio (a bit disappointing at this price-point).
Articulating arms, hands, legs (I don't remember if the head swivels, but I think not).
Tap the head to light up the backlight or turn off the alarm/snooze.
Not brick-compatible with other products from the same brand.
About 8 inches tall.

Powers of 2 Binary Clock Review

Powers of 2 Binary Clock

A present from my son. It gives a new way of looking at what time it is--there are analog timepieces, there are digital timepieces, and now there are binary timepieces. If a light is on only in the lowest row=1, light on only in second row=2, light on only in lowest two rows=3, light on only in third row=4, and so on. You can look at this clock as a simple amusement about different ways of seeing what time it is, and you can look at it and use it to help you contemplate how humans think/talk in different languages, and how those humans might think differently inside and never realize the many ways it is possible that other humans may think and perceive the world differently. After all, this clock is about telling one basic thing, time, in a different way than you ever have before. What about all the other experiences we humans may look at in different ways/ OK, down from the heavy stuff, it's a neat toy to put on your desk, yet still a reminder that there are a lot of different ways of looking at such basic things as "what time it is".
