The description said, "Wood case / Glass window" but they're liars! Either that, or they sent me a counterfeit/fake version. What I received looks just like the picture, but the lens is PLASTIC, and the case is PLASTIC! How do they get away with this!?
It's very loud, but the LUME is not up to SEIKO quality at all. I really think it's a Feiko. I'm keeping it, because I need it - Oh, and also: It does NOT take two AA batteries, as the description described! It takes two "C" cell batteries (much larger than AA) - why was the description COMPLETELY a farce? They got NOTHING correct! Would I buy it again? Nope. It was delivered by an unmarked, ununiformed, strange man, who never even knocked on my door. I watched him pull up in a junker car, and placed it on the ground NEAR MY DRIVEWAY - about thirty feet from my front door.
UPDATE - I've been enjoying my Seiko Clock. The alarm is loud enough for me, and these "C" cell alkalines are doing just fine powering those loud bells. The lume on the face is very bright and last a long time when I "charge" it with a bright LED light source. I also like the quiet sweeping second hand.
For some reason, when I grab the clock, my finger always accidentally opens the rear battery compartment. Kind of annoying, but still worth having. I just have to learn to grasp it differently. WIsh it was bigger, but I have big clock envy. It's large enough. Larger than a Westclox.
