(More customer reviews)And no, I wasn't screwing the bulb in when it happened. As far as I can tell, I did nothing to cause the glass of the bulb to crack, leaving the metal part still in the lamp. The customer service at Verilux told me that it was my fault, and that they're sorry and would be "happy to assist me in purchasing a replacement bulb". I asked them to send me a replacement bulb for free, since the bulb was clearly defective. I talked to 3 levels of customer service people, and all they told me was that they can help me with ordering one for the full price.
This is a big scam, that's all it is. If I didn't pay an arm and a leg for their "rise and shine" lamp it would've been out the window a long time ago.
