(More customer reviews)Given the title of my review, I think it is safe to say that this lil' baby has quite a roar. I am not talking jump out of your bed and yell, "egads"! But, certainly not overly soft like the reviews for some of the other alarm clocks on Amazon. I do feel there must be a volume control, however, my fiance discarded the directions before I could get my hands on them!!
The vintage look to the style and clock face are great with the added benefit that there is no pesky wire plugged into the wall or a knob you have to remember to wind. I have had my mine for about 6 months now and the battery and time are still working perfectly.
The other super added bonus to this clock is that you can choose what sound you wake up to. I hate generic ringing noises and prefer to come into each day with a much more gentle sound. As the USB cord is connected just inside the back, there is also no worries about loosing the connector and you can change your sound as often as you change your shirt... This said, you can pick a softer song or louder song as you need to get yourself moving in the morning.
The one major drawback - and this comes with anything that has cute little hands - there is a distinct tick-tock noise. We sleep with a fan on every night which is a perfect solution...even though the clock is just a few inches from my head, the fan is enough to completely mask the tick-tock. Though, sans fan...I really can't stand it!
The classic alarm bells at the top are just for decoration though...there is no way to set those to go off. (Or at least not as I can tell).
I would say for the cost, this is a really great item...and I am actually surprised to not see any other reviews!! I will actually be getting one for said fiance for Christmas!
